Hi, I’m David—co-founder of Second Home Pet Care. With over 20 years of experience in pet care, I specialize in working with pets that require extra understanding and patience—especially cats, large dog breeds, and pets with behavioral challenges such as anxiety, fear, or biting.

Cat grooming is one of my passions and areas of expertise. I understand how sensitive and particular cats can be, and I’ve developed techniques to ensure they feel secure and respected during every session. Many of our clients come to us because their cats have been turned away elsewhere—I’m proud to be the person they trust to get the job done calmly and safely.

For puppies, seniors, or pets with special needs, Juju and I often work as a team to provide the safest, most comforting experience possible.

In addition to mobile services, I also manage our brick-and-mortar location, where we offer professional grooming, dog boarding, and daycare in a warm, home-like environment. We’ve created a space that’s clean, enriching, and welcoming to all pets—including cats.

Before entering the pet care world full-time, I spent 25 years managing and operating restaurants across Shanghai, Hong Kong, and New York, including Pret A Manger. My background in hospitality taught me to value consistency, empathy, and top-quality service—all of which now guide our mission at Second Home Pet Care.
